This is the perfect size for the living space that has to have a desk.  With it’s splash of colour and a fold-out front, the Remix is groovy looking and there is plenty of room for the laptop and a notebook.  Even folded out it would be great for the sewing machine.  If the brights are not for you, then it comes in a gloss black with crisp white containers.   Perhaps it’s good news that you can only get it overseas as it’s rather pricey at NZ$2700.

I pack two lunchboxes everymorning….one for Master 6 and Miss 2.  They are vastly different due to all of Miss 2′s allergies and anaphylaxis.  So sometimes in my half slumber state, I stare blankly at the pantry wondering what an earth I put into the four containers in each of their lunchboxes.

How about a lunchbox with loads of little spaces.  Over at Easy Peasy Organic, I spotted this idea and think will try this next week.  I ended up purchasing a ‘fishing tackle‘ box as that’s as close to these with all the little spaces…clever huh.  Hopefully it will make it easier as I can spread all sorts of goodies into them and not just think ‘inside the box’.  Let me know how you get on.

While sitting in the reading corner in Master 6 3/4′s classroom, I picked up Puff The Magic Dragon by Peter Yarrow and Lenny Lipton.  As I read through with him, I fell head over heels for the artwork….it is AMAAZING!  I wanted to take it home, cut out the pages and pin it on the bedroom walls….and not just the kids!

Where have I been?  Well, our beautiful Miss 2 is allergic to most things in our world, including all household cleaning products, food products, moulds, etc, etc and is also anaphylactic to Dairy and Eggs.  So alot of my time is spent with allergists, specialists, doctors and me just plain trawling the internet….so I can help her with her eczema and food intolerences.

So today I wanted to do a post about a more natural product for your laundry….and I came across Scrub Naturally on Etsy. While on our trip with Master 6 and 3/4 to Te Papa Museum in Wellington this easter, he saw a huge snake skin up on the wall. After yelling at me to come over and take a closer look and discussing where it might have come from, he suddenly said – ‘Just like your shoes Mum’……oh my god – it was busy and people were standing next to us looking down at my shoes with all these judgey eyes (cue flushed face)!  I had to laugh through my embarrassment and tell people they were fake – because they are! But still…..the looks lingered.  Mr Bohaute and I had a good laugh afterward though.

Towel rails that are cool – are here in NZ – at last!    These radiators by Zehnder are a clever heating solution, as some have a 2hr towel drying function, a 24 hr timer, three heat settings and come in a large array of colours.  Filled with heat transferring liquid they throw out a great amount of warmth and are cheaper to run than conventional towel rails.

While Miss 2 is still waking for her warm water in the middle of the night, I have a Thermos beside my bed so I don’t have to stand and wait in the kitchen for warm water from the tap.   While it works – it is HUGE and I just need something small.  So this great bottle by the company S’well looks perfect.

I discovered this image today that inspired todays post.  At one stage I was fancying the famous LC6, but the elliptical black steel frame was just too sterile and bold looking for my taste.  If I had spotted this version in a beautiful pale blue, then it could be sitting in my dining room today. You can get this colour overseas, but should you like one in your own bespoke colour, the people at Homage here in Auckland can get it done for you.

A friend was dropping off magazines in Master 6′s class for cutting out and…well, ruining – when I discovered a fantastic design and decor magazine among them.  Home it came and I fell head over heels for this rug just a few pages in.  Now, you know I have a love affair with Dinosaur Designs jewellery, but what’s better than having all that colour beneath your feet all year round!  And there are a few other variations to choose from in the Dinosaur Designs collection.

Designer Rugs in Australia has done a series with Australian artists and designers – with so many more I adore it’s hard to choose just one.   And because they ship anywhere in the world, it’s worth taking a look at their collection right here.

Mr Bohaute and I are planning on winning the large lotto draw this weekend ($32 MILLION DOLLARS).
