Measuring Cups – Flowers and Matryoskas
Kitchen March 14th, 2010

Wow, it’s been a while. I have been busy moving…again (I know! Three times in 1 and 1/2yrs) – but this time it’s to Australia! We are now living in the Gold Coast near Surfers Paradise for quite a lifestyle change. Still house hunting, but have found a few goodies that would make great house warming gifts.
I discovered the cute M-Cups Measuring Cups in a few stores here. Useful and can be left on display if you don’t have loads of kitchen storage. This set of 6 dry-measure cups nests neatly just like traditional Russian matryoshkas. They accurately measure 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 and 1 full cup, and they’re built from heavy-duty, food-safe, long-life engineering plastics. You can get them in kitchen stores here in Australia, or online for much cheaper here and here starting at AU$14.95 – cheapest I have found.
Or, if dolls aren’t your thing, then what about the flower measuring cups – once again they nest, and includes one of each: 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, and 1 cup. Are dishwasher-safe and the cups measure approximately 6″ long. You can get them online in the US for US$9.95 here.

I LOVE these. What a great find!
Found the flowers cups going for AU$9.95 at Trade Secret in Southport, Goldcoast.
Im sorry, but its not babushki. In Russia we call them matreshki. Babushki means old lady. Matreshki folk dolls. Im from Russa, my husband call them babushki before too..
Thanks Nadi…have updated the post.
