This house is just outside of Rio de Janeiro, with it’s own private beach and jetty.  The roof shelters the house just like a leaf.  It is designed as an open air abode to provide natural ventilation and passive cooling in the warm climate.  Designed by Mareines + Patalano, the roof even harvests rainwater for use in the house.  Take a look at more images here.  It looks like my favourite frangipani leaf.
